Guidelines for the Development of Disaster Preparedness Manuals for Delivery Facilities Cover-image

The guidelines are intended to provide clues for people who prepare manuals required in the event of disaster at delivery facilities. They cover an approximately three-month period from the occurrence of a disaster and consist of the following contents.

Preparation of a manual for daily preparedness;
Preparation of a manual required immediately following a disaster;
Preparation of a manual required for providing medium- and long-term support.

Guidelines for Applying Clinical Ladder of Competencies for Midwifery Practice (CLoCMiP)

The stagnant acquisition of practical midwifery ability is caused by external environmental factors in the perinatal medical care service systems, and by the resultant internal environmental factors. Taking into account the situations, in 2012, JNA developed and released nationwide the “Career Paths for Midwives” and the “Clinical Ladder of Competencies for Midwifery Practice (CLoCMiP)”. The guidelines have been utilized to develop and strengthen practical competencies of midwives in Japan.

As a Level III certification in the CLoCMiP was commenced, we hope that the guidelines will be further utilized.

Midwives from around the world got together for the first time in about six years for the ICM Triennial Congress in June 2023. Japanese Nursing Association had poster session and exhibit a booth.
