Midwifery in Japan

Midwifery in Japan

Japanese Nursing Association has published a leaflet, the latest version of "Midwifery in Japan (2015)".

In the leaflet, you can find the information about maternal health statistics and policies, and midwifery regulation and education in Japan.

The guidelines are intended to provide clues for people who prepare manuals required in the event of disaster at delivery facilities. They cover an approximately three-month period from the occurrence of a disaster and consist of the following contents.

  • Preparation of a manual for daily preparedness;
  • Preparation of a manual required immediately following a disaster;
  • Preparation of a manual required for providing medium- and long-term support.
We would be grateful if you could make good use of them.
